Overview Activate is a technology company building interactive gaming facilities across Canada, the US, and into global markets. We fuse technology and physical activity to create live-action gaming experiences. This part-time position at our Calgary North store is located at 2929 Sunridge Way NE, Unit 420 and involves facilitating games, assisting customers at check-in, and ongoing upkeep of games and the facility. Responsibilities Game Facilitation: be professional in thought, language, and action; exemplify excellence in facilitation to provide customers a great experience; brief new groups prior to the start of their experience; observe customers and provide explanations as needed; participate with customers in games to ensure an excellent experience; monitor gameplay and provide timely aid; handle malfunctions with support of Team Leads; maintain a clean and comfortable work environment Check-In Facilitation: warmly greet customers, verify appointment times and explain the check-in process; handle cash, debit, credit, or gift card transactions; issue receipts and wristbands; answer customer inquiries and involve a Team Lead if needed Facility Maintenance: clean facility and washrooms; perform painting as needed; assist Team Lead in checking inventory of merchandise; reset and disinfect wristbands; clean and disinfect lockers and lounge; notify Team Leads immediately of game failures or malfunctions; perform touch-ups on equipment as required Qualifications 1 year of customer service experience is an asset Flexible and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Strong communication, multitasking, and time management skills Energetic, friendly, and outgoing with the ability to engage a crowd Willing to work various shifts starting as early as 8 am and ending as late as 1 am (leaders will work within given availability) Perks Competitive wage Opportunities for advancement Casual dress Employee discount Fun and dynamic work environment On-site parking Activate is an equal opportunity employer.
