Bakery Production Associate T & T Supermarket Reporting to the Bakery Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for supporting the Bakery Production Supervisor by producing the assigned bakery products (Bread, Cake and/or other pastries) based on orders received, and by controlling quality, freshness, inventory and wastage. Company overview: T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canadas largest Asian supermarket chain with 36 stores across the country: 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 13 in Ontario, and 2 in Quebec. The Companys continued expansion is planned in the coming years. Responsibilities Produce the correct quantity of assigned products (Bread, Cake and/or other Pastries) based on orders received. Perform production duties for various products (Bread, Cake, Puddings and/or other Pastries), which may include but are not limited to: Dough mixing, cutting, rolling, laying, forming, filling, shaping, slicing, etc. Prepare various fillings such as fruits, meat, paste, custards, etc. Control fermentation and baking time; monitor cooler and oven temperatures. Decoration of Bread, Cake and/or other Pastries. Control product quality, freshness, inventory level and wastage. Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, equipment and tools, and follow workplace safety in the production area. Answer customers inquiries as needed. Accountable, pleasant, proactive, and able to take initiative. Possess knowledge and prior experience in making bakery products (Bread, Cake and/or other Pastries), including but not limited to: Dough mixing, cutting, rolling, laying, forming, filling, shaping, slicing, etc. Prepare fillings such as fruits, meat, paste, custards, etc. Control fermentation and baking time; monitor the temperature of the cooler and oven. Decoration of Bread, Cake and/or other Pastries. Knowledge of workplace health & safety and food safety (Food Safe Certification required). Understanding of tools and equipment relevant to the job. Good communication skills, good organization, and problem-solving abilities. Team player with flexibility to work in various shifts, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and morning/evening hours.
