Base pay range CA$32.95/hr - CA$37.26/hr Addiction Worker, Temporary Regular Part-Time Hours of work: 0.4 FTE Union: OPSEU Responsibilities The successful candidate will assist with supportive counseling with individual and group work and educational/information sessions. Responsibilities also include the overall safety and security of the clients and facility, documentation and shift reporting. Qualifications College Diploma in Social Services or equivalent Minimum three years working experience in addictions and behavioral counseling Experience and knowledge of addictions, including treatment modalities and pharmacology; mental health services; case management (assessment, goal setting, treatment planning, aftercare planning and referral); individual and group counseling; and development and delivery of psycho-educational sessions Must be able to work in emotionally charged environment at times characterized by high stress Demonstrated ability to handle a large and diversified workload with often rapidly changing priorities Demonstrated ability in community and conflict management Experience in delivery of psycho-educational sessions and process groups required Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs Evidence of effective organizational, interpersonal, communication, judgment and decision-making skills Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision The successful applicant will be required to work (1) one evening shift each week to conduct a support group and will provide individual support to members as needed Consistent and regular attendance required Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset How to Apply If you are interested in this position, please visit our careers page by 11:59pm September 15, 2025 and submit an application through eRecruit.
