Disability Case Manager II 18 Month Contract Join the Cooperators team as a Disability Case Manager II for an 18month temporary fulltime contract. This role works hybrid in Calgary, Alberta. Key Responsibilities Adjudicate and independently manage early intervention, shortterm and/or longterm disability claims, including complex cases. Assess eligibility for disability benefits, develop casemanagement plans, and initiate interventions to minimize claim durations. Communicate with claimants, employers, treatment providers, and physicians, and coordinate with thirdparty administrators, lawyers, and brokers. Review documentationapplication forms, medical information, employment data, and insurers recordstraverse to develop plans. Interview claimants and employers by telephone to inform decisions. Proactively manage claims aiming to reduce disability periods and return claimants to work. Utilize resources for appropriate diagnosis and treatment and ensure compliance with rehabilitation interventions. Initiate assessments such as independent medical examinations, functional capacity examinations, or surveillance when required. Required Qualifications 35years of related experience in disability claims or case management. Postsecondary degree in Kinesiology, Psychology, Disability Management or a related discipline (asset). Associate, Life and Health Claims (ALHC) designation (asset). Fluency in English; French is an asset. Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
