Work Conditions: Work is based in Liard River BC with travel to field operations Preference may be given to local applicants due to the nature of the work Camp provided for non-local candidates As LHL responds to changing weather conditions, some on-call duties may be required Comprehensive benefits provided through CLAC, including Health, Dental, and RSP Essential Responsibilities: Perform maintenance and repair of generators, trucks and trailers, construction and maintenance equipment such as plow and sanding trucks, loaders, and light support gear Follow manufacturer and internal maintenance programs and inspection procedures Engage and participate in Ledcor safety policies and procedures Complete maintenance records and documentation as required Qualifications: Journeyperson Truck and Trailer Technician (On-Road & Off-Road) or registered Apprentice with a recognized provincial authority Experience with heavy civil construction, highway paving, or highway maintenance equipment (e.g., snowplows) is an asset CVIP license is an asset Must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing Valid Drivers License with the ability to provide a 3-year drivers abstract Strong ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, including those with sketches and diagrams Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision Compensation $33.00 - $59.00 per hour This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location.
