Job Description: Location: Kirmac Head Office Job Summary: The Collision Estimator Trainer is responsible for delivering comprehensive training programs to ensure Estimators are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and tools required to provide exceptional customer service and accurate vehicle damage assessments. This role focuses on leading multiple training workshops per month, providing one-on-one coaching, and reviewing development plans with Estimators to ensure alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs) and company goals. The Trainer will also ensure Estimators maintain compliance with insurance processes, uphold operational standards, and contribute to the overall success of the repair facility. Key Responsibilities: Training & Workshop Facilitation: Develop and deliver engaging training workshops for new and experienced Estimators. Facilitate training on damage assessment techniques, repair coordination, customer communication, and insurance compliance. Conduct refresher training sessions on Estimating Tools & Management System. One-on-One Coaching: Provide individualized coaching to Estimators, focusing on skill development, performance improvement, and technical expertise. Review and assess development plans with Estimators to identify areas for growth and track their progress toward goals. Conduct regular development reviews, helping Estimators achieve their professional goals and align with Kirmac's KPIs. Train Estimators to provide accurate and timely information to customers, guiding them through the repair process, and ensuring excellent customer service. Educate on handling insurance client requirements, ensuring compliance with client processes and metrics. Systems & Tools Training: Provide training on tools such as Mitchell Connect, Audatex, and others. Ensure proficiency in these systems to improve repair coordination, customer communication, and damage appraisal accuracy. Monitor and keep up to date with advancements in automotive systems, including new vehicle technologies, ADAS, etc. Compliance & Performance Monitoring: Ensure Estimators are trained to comply with insurance programs and all internal operational standards. Support the team in meeting KPIs by regularly reviewing performance metrics and providing necessary feedback and guidance. Collaboration with Management: Participate in 'production walks' with the Management Team to stay updated on facility operations and Estimator performance. Attend monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings as needed, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Collision Estimator or related role, with a strong understanding of damage assessment and insurance procedures. Experience in coaching, training, or team leadership is preferred. Education: Completion of ICAR training and other relevant industry certifications is a plus. Skills and Abilities: Proficient with damage estimating software such as Mitchell and Audatex. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to teach and coach effectively. Ability to assess development needs and create tailored training plans for individual Estimators. Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple workshops and coaching sessions.
