Our client is now seeking a talented junior to mid-level Labour & Employment Associate to join their esteemed team in Calgary. Key Responsibilities Advise and represent employers on a broad spectrum of employment and labour law matters, including the implications of corporate transactions and reorganizations. Engage in labour arbitrations and administrative tribunal proceedings (experience in this area is a plus). Draft and review employment contracts, executive compensation agreements, and navigate issues related to workers compensation, pay equity, and employment equity. Handle cases involving occupational health and safety prosecutions, human rights, employment standards, privacy, terminations, layoffs, and workplace investigations. Qualifications and Attributes 2-4 years of post-call experience in labour and employment law from a reputable national, regional, or boutique firm. Including experience with corporate transactions and reorganizations. Exceptional interpersonal and client service abilities, with a proactive approach and aptitude for teamwork. Superior organizational and project management skills, adept at handling multiple time-sensitive priorities. Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
