Raise is recruiting on behalf of its client to support Health & Safety priorities and regional initiatives. Responsibilities Provide H&S support and guidance to regional locations, including tactical delivery and execution of Health & Safety programs aligned with strategic priorities. Support Regional Leadership in achieving health and safety goals and in implementing local plans. Support Joint Health and Safety Committees (JHSCs) and assist with the implementation of the GDS Health and Safety Program. Deliver select safety training courses and coordinate third-party training as required. Lead preventable motor vehicle incident investigations and support the Incident Investigations Team for personal injury events involving GDS employees. Provide onsite initial incident response for GDS, Corporate Service and Project incidents involving company employees and contractors (as required). Support and provide subject matter expertise for the implementation, integration and maintenance of GDS and Safety & Reliability (S&R) Health and Safety Programs. Coordinate/conduct Industrial Hygiene Testing in collaboration with the Occupational Hygiene team (e.g., EarFit testing, respirator fit testing, noise dosimetry, area noise testing, lead sampling) as required. Demonstrate visible safety leadership through regular field visits, project support, project orientation/kick-off, and support of local Safety Roundtables. Assist people leaders with early and safe return-to-work processes. Support Real Estate Workplace Service (REWS) group as needed (fire drills, Fire Captain Training, etc.). Advise people leaders on incident severity assessments for Drug & Alcohol Testing Process decision making. Provide assurance activity support (audits) as required. Serve as local liaison with regulators as required (e.g., MLITSD). Required Qualifications Related University Degree; or if no degree, an additional three years of related experience. Minimum of 4 years of Occupational Safety experience. Demonstrated ability to innovate, self-manage, think strategically, initiate and manage change, work collaboratively, negotiate, influence without authority, facilitate, solve problems, and deliver results. Strong research, problem solving, observation, analytical and report writing skills with keen attention to detail. Proven interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills across project organizational levels. Excellent adult education and presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications 4 years of Occupational Safety experience in the Oil and Gas sector is preferred.
