Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Junior Accountant to join our team. This role offers flexibility for both part-time and full-time candidates (32 hours/week) and is an excellent opportunity for students currently enrolled in accounting, finance, or business programs. If you are in school for an accounting program, we will provide hands-on training and work with you to create a flexible schedule that accommodates your classes and exams. In this role, you will be responsible for handling the full accounting cycle, from transaction entry to month-end and year-end closing, for clients across five provinces. You will work closely with our Account Managers to prepare invoices, manage accounts, and maintain financial accuracy. Key Responsibilities Manage the full accounting cycle: accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing Maintain accurate general ledger and financial records Process payroll and manage employee records Use QuickBooks to record transactions, prepare reports, and monitor budgets Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and forecasting Prepare and issue invoices in coordination with Account Managers Manage client accounts across five provinces Perform administrative duties including answering calls, managing emails, and maintaining organized files Requirements Requirements Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative support preferred Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software Strong knowledge of the full accounting cycle, AR/AP, and reconciliation processes Excellent organizational and time management skills High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Familiarity with budgeting and payroll processes is an asset Students in accounting/finance programs encouraged to apply Type: Part-time or Full-time (32 hours/week) Location: Burnaby, BC Compensation: Competitive $20-21 hourly rate (based on experience) + benefits (if applicable) #J-18808-Ljbffr
