Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor and/or the Underground Superintendent, the primary role of the Construction Leader is to perform construction mining tasks and is able to complete them efficiently with little to no supervision and will guide the less experienced construction miners. The role of a Construction Lead Miner includes a wide variety of work such as forming, concrete work, vent doors, man doors, vent walls, sump installations, pipe installation, ventilation and fan installations and many more challenger Responsibilities General: Work in coordination with project engineering and construction management when necessary to plan and clarify parameters and decide on processes to be utilized Monitor, assess and report construction activities to help ensure acceptable progress on the project Report any deviations in progress and suggest appropriate action as critical dates approach to ensure a smooth transition from phase to phase Develop and lead crew to achieve planned objective The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
