Job Description

Manager duties include but are not limited to: The General Managers of Sniper Pressure Services Ltd. are responsible for the coordination of business operations, and overseeing the day to day operations of the applicable Sniper branch office and shop. Duties include but are not limited to the follow: Building customer relations and responding to customer needs Conducting field visits to prepare for project bids and attending any meetings that happen in conjunction with those projects, E.g.: conference calls, customer safety stand downs Prepare a budget for branch and review actual to differences monthly Be accountable for the branches financial results, maintain consistent communication with Sniper Controller Managing staff; and responding to staffing needs including follow up to ACTION cards or Hazard Identifications that include any reported Health hazard identifications Assisting in assigning accountabilities and following up on evaluating the competency of the employees through monthly, random behavior observations, annual inspections, and evaluations Following up with drivers and employees as needed (including disciplinary action) Following up with Lease Operators to ensure compliance with Snipers safety and maintenance program at time of hire and through competency evaluations, file review Complete all training as required to ensure the competency for the position. E.g. Leadership/Supervisor training, Incident and Accident training, Formal Hazard Assessment training Supporting Snipers Health and Safety Management System by understanding all of the responsibilities regarding the Health and Safety of employees that come with the position. Ensure that the GM position is seen complying with all policies and procedures. Expect the same of all employees from all branches Complete incident investigations when Supervisors are unavailable, communicating all findings to the HSE/HR Coordinator and Senior Management Understand legislation as it relates to the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Industry and all applicable OH&S Sections and Codes At minimum conduct quarterly field visits, documenting by email or on management field inspections any observations or positive feedback regarding competency of employees or to alert about safety issues with employees/hazards or unsafe work conditions Be prepared to participate and communicate during Senior Manager competency evaluation of the General Manager position to measure level of accurate task completions Job Capabilities 80 % Sitting during all driving/paperwork completion 10% Pushing/pulling/lifting more than 50lbs Qualifications 5 years Gas and Oilfield experience preferably with off road driving experience Read and write English Class 1 or 3 license drivers license and a clean driver abstract Computer literate/Experience with Axon an asset Job Type: Full Time * Monday to Friday- Twenty-four (24) hours per day availability in office or field according to scope of work *Alberta Labor states: The following jobs are exempt from the minimum standards for hours of work and rest: Managers, Supervisors and those employed in a confidential capacity #J-18808-Ljbffr
