Functional Role As Construction Operations Manager Crushing & Earthworks, you will coordinate our on-site crushing and bulk earthworks operations. Qualifications Must have experience with the coordination and operation of machinery such as excavators, front end loaders, water trucks, and dust suppression systems. Ability to operate the listed heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Experience with mobile crushing plants, preferably Metso Lokotrack or similar jaw crushers. Heavy civil construction experience and adaptability in demanding environments. Complete knowledge of CME operations and alignment with CME core values. Secondary school diploma preferred. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities The Construction Operations Manager Crushing & Earthworks should demonstrate: Knowledge of construction standards and codes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong understanding of construction management procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple duties and meeting deadlines. Adept computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office and HCSS Heavy Job Manager. Capacity to initiate and adapt to change. Additionally, customer service and interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication with clients and team members. The role reports to the VP-Construction. Hours of Work Minimum 40 hours per week. Weekends and long hours may be required. Compensation Very competitive salary. Accountabilities The Construction Operations Manager Crushing & Earthworks is responsible for: Ensuring safe and efficient operations of a small team. Planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating construction projects. Requisitioning materials, equipment, and supplies. Developing schedules and monitoring progress. Implementing quality control programs. Leading construction sites to follow plans safely and efficiently. Preparing timely and accurate reports. Delegating tasks and taking direction from leadership. Ensuring projects meet deadlines, scope, budget, and safety standards. Representing the company in business matters. Maintaining client relationships and managing expectations. Preparing progress reports and schedules. Leading health, safety, and environmental initiatives. Supervising subcontractors and staff.
