Job Description

OVERVIEW Acts as a Receptionist and performs clerical duties including data entry in Ansos and maintains statistical information for patient care delivery in the Out Patient Clinics. Relates to patients and their families in a professional and courteous manner and interacts collaboratively with the interdisciplinary staff to provide patient-centered care. EDUCATION - Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent educational preparation. - Training related to office administration/office coordinator. QUALIFICATIONS - 2 years of relevant recent experience working as a unit clerk in an outpatient setting required. - Knowledge of medical terminology required. - Demonstrated skill in use of ESM and Powerchart, required. - Demonstrated skill in Ansos and SAP/SRM preferred. - Experience with internal medicine, infectious disease disciplines preferred. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written. - Computer literacy required; demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. - Excellent keyboarding skills. - Demonstrates ability to provide patient-centered, customer service care. - Demonstrates tact, diplomacy, and discretion in matters related to patients, staff, and hospital affairs. - Able to work independently as well as in a team environment. - Demonstrated excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills. - Must be prepared to work in all areas of Surgical Health Services (skills & abilities considered). - Good work and attendance record required. - All employees of Michael Garron Hospital (MGH), a division of Toronto East Health Network (TEHN) [formerly Toronto East General Hospital (TEGH)] agree to work within the legislated practices of the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario. - All employees of MGH are responsible to contribute to a transparent culture of patient and staff safety by adhering to and abiding by patient and staff safety policies and procedures set by MGH. - All employees are accountable for protecting the psychological health and safety of themselves and their co-workers through adherence to MGH's policies and practices. #J-18808-Ljbffr
