You will be a member of Dillons Environmental Planning Group and work with our biologists, environmental scientists, planners and engineers located in our offices across Canada. You will be key part of our multi-disciplinary group serving our diverse range of public and private sector clients across Canada. We are leaders in the delivery of Environmental Assessments across Canada. This is a key business area for us. Responsibilities What your day will look like As a key team member, you will have the opportunity to: Manage/Lead projects for public and private sector clients related to Environmental Assessment (EA), environmental permitting and approvals, and environmental compliance monitoring, with a focus on Linear infrastructure EAs (Municipal Class EA, MTO, Hydro One, Metrolinx) Develop and lead innovative public and agency consultation programs Build client relationships through identification of market opportunities, client communications, preparation of proposals, and business development activities Learning & Development Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development Input to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring Contribute to Dillons corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees Qualifications What you will need to succeed A university degree or post-undergraduate college diploma in planning, environmental studies, biology, applied planning, ecology, or a related field 3 to 8 years experience, preferably in the consulting industry, with an emphasis on linear infrastructure EAs Valid Class G Drivers license Eligibility for full membership or candidate membership in the Ontario Professional Planners Institute is considered an asset Experience Ideally, your experience can demonstrate the following: Successful delivery of Class EAs for linear infrastructure. Experience with individual EAs would be considered an asset In-depth knowledge of relevant municipal, provincial and federal environmental legislation, regulations, policies, guidelines, and regulatory permitting and approval requirements Experience in the design and delivery of stakeholder and Indigenous Community engagement programs, including the use of innovative virtual engagement tools Experience in business development activities including client development and responding to RFPs Environmental management during construction, including developing environmental management plans, on-site monitoring and documentation, is considered an asset We have a strong supportive and inclusive culture at Dillon and welcome these strengths and personal attributes: Highly motivated with a proven ability to take initiative Strong report writing, organization and interpersonal skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Committed to success through personal development and team advancement Passionate about innovative approaches to public and stakeholder engagement Desire to be a key member of a solution-oriented, multi-disciplinary team Ability to work independently Dillon offers competitive salaries, health benefits, flexible work arrangements and a generous retirement savings plan.
