Position Summary - 3-6 MONTH CONTRACT The Financial Analyst will support the operations for the companys parts manufacturing, sales and global distribution business. The primary responsibility of the Analyst will be to analyze and determine the cost of parts, inter-company transfers, cost analysis, audit support and assist in the budget / forecast process. This position will support the companys entire production and inventory process measuring all costs connected with the manufacturing process. General activities will include preparing and analyzing spreadsheets, maintaining schedules, completing, and reviewing account reconciliations and analysis. Location YYC - On site - 5 days in office - 3-6 MONTH CONTRACT Key Responsibilities Supports the month-end close related to cost accounting and reporting Coordination, preparation, and reconciliation of inventory and General Ledger balances Analysis and review of actual cost reports and variances by location to plan and budget Prepare schedules, and analysis to support inventory and production related journal entries Prepare cost models for inventory parts and maintenance reporting Assist in the development and analysis of operational budgets / forecasts Assist in physical inventories and monitoring cycle count programs Ad-hoc reporting and financial modelling Develop working paper audit files, assist in collecting data / information for external auditors Qualifications & Skills Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, or Business 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing, cost accounting or analyst Excellent computer skills including an advanced level of proficiency in MS Excel Previous experience working with Power BI, ERP systems such as Visual and/or IFS Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, managing several project deadlines concurrently Proven team player, high level of cooperation and mutual respect Outstanding oral and written communication skills At De Havilland Aircraft of Canada (DHC), we are committed to protecting our people, customers, shareholders and the public through Health & Safety Excellence.
