Overview As we continue to grow and expand our presence in the market, we are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Account Manager to join our team. The role focuses on driving revenue growth by leveraging existing client relationships within the public sector and generating recurring revenue through cross-selling and upselling applications from our portfolio. This position reports to the Director of Business Development and Upsell and is based in Oakville, Ontario. What Youll Do Account & Relationship Management Manage a book of business of existing clients to renew, cross-sell, and upsell in line with individual targets Manage relationships within target accounts at the C-Suite level (CFO, CAO, City Manager, Mayor) as well as LOB leaders and users Research accounts, identify key champions, generate interest, and obtain business requirements Cross functional collaboration Develop renewal plans with customer success to maximize expansion and introduce new usage, tools, and products to current clients Help manage and execute business reviews with customer success to drive value-based conversations Coordinate internal resources to solve client issues and execute service agreements Sales Process Collaborate with customer success, marketing, sales, and implementation teams to prepare and deliver presentations and demonstrations of additional software products and services Conduct product demonstrations and display aptitude across several solutions Engage in team-based selling to support goals Run a deep discovery process focused on client outcomes to present and demonstrate value for needed solutions Manage and maintain leads, opportunities, and account information within Salesforce Pipeline & Quota Attainment Generate qualified cross-sell and upsell opportunities with existing clients, consistently meeting or exceeding targets Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts using CRM software Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly targets Competitive Increase knowledge of key competitors to communicate our value proposition effectively Travel Quarterly (at minimum) travel to client onsite visits What Were Looking For BA/BS or equivalent experience preferred 4+ years of successful outside software sales, preferably B2B with a focus on the public sector Experience and proven success carrying a midmarket quota Strong understanding of financial applications, software solutions Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients Proactive and self-motivated with a results-driven mindset Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities Familiarity with CRM software and sales pipeline management tools Knowledge of the public sector, including government procurement processes, regulations, and compliance, is a plus Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients Experience selling across divisions, departments and going deep into organizations Ability and resilience to work in a fast-paced sales environment Ability to develop trusted relationships Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and online collaboration tools Experience with CRM and opportunity management systems, preferably Salesforce Location This position will be hybrid with 3 days/week in our Oakville, ON office.
