Overview Supply Manager role at Hyundai Mobis (Mobis Parts Canada) in Markham, ON. Key Responsibilities Lead supply planning, procurement, and inventory control initiatives to support business objectives. Supervise and develop a team responsible for purchasing, supply operations, and inventory management. Analyze inventory health and trends, and apply insights to optimize supply planning and maintain optimal stock levels. Control inventory levels by category, balancing inventory holding costs with service level targets. Identify and analyze errors in system-generated purchase orders and implement corrective actions to improve system accuracy and logic. Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices; manage slow-moving or obsolete stock reduction. Identify and mitigate supply risks, and establish contingency plans to handle disruptions or shortages. Prepare and report supply planning KPIs and regular inventory performance updates to management. Build and manage supplier relationships, including sourcing, contracting, negotiation, and performance tracking. Drive cost-saving and efficiency projects, including procurement process improvements and operational automation. Maintain effective communication with client companies and internal departments (Logistics, Quality, and Parts Distribution) to align supply strategies. Ensure purchasing and inventory systems are properly maintained and updated to reflect real-time operations. Train and mentor inventory and procurement staff to build team capability. Mandatory Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the automotive or automotive parts industry. Proven managerial experience or at least 5 years in a supervisory role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset. Proficiency in Excel and SQL; coding skills are an asset. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Fluent in English, both verbal and written. Preferred Qualifications Academic background or degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science. Professional certifications in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP). Experience with lean supply chain practices and continuous improvement methodologies. Understanding of global sourcing, trade compliance, and international logistics. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data reporting and analysis tools.
