This role offers the opportunity to work with a progressive company while allowing you to work on diverse projects. This is a permanent staff position and it can be located in Victoria, Vancouver, Edmonton or Calgary. Responsibilities Conduct assessments and repairs of infrastructure like bridges and industrial facilities. Design and review various concrete mixes. Provide support for QC/QA testing and inspections. Perform non-destructive evaluations of reinforced concrete. Evaluate the service life and durability of materials. Monitor construction works in the field. Experience with construction materials testing is a solid asset. Prepare technical reports and proposals. Qualifications Completion of a post-secondary program in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a closely related discipline, with a strong emphasis on construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, and aggregates. Prior experience in construction materials testing is considered an asset. Familiarity with working on active construction sites is advantageous. A graduate-level degree (e.g., Masters or higher) is beneficial but not required. Possession of a valid drivers license (Class 5 or equivalent) is mandatory. Demonstrated strength in organization, project coordination, and interpersonal communication. Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including potential overtime and weekend shifts.
