Overview We are seeking a Tax Professional with U.S. and cross-border tax expertise to manage and execute tax compliance engagements for individuals and corporate clients, including high-net-worth cross-border planning. The role requires collaboration with leadership, client engagement management, and business development participation. Responsibilities Plan, manage, and execute tax compliance engagements for: U.S. citizens, residents, and nonresidents residing in the U.S. and abroad. U.S. corporations and Canadian corporations conducting business in the U.S. Provide cross-border tax planning for high-net-worth clients. Identify, analyze, and document tax issues; prepare detailed tax correspondence. Represent clients before the IRS and state tax authorities. Collaborate in pre- and post-engagement discussions; manage client engagements within defined scope, budget, and timelines. Maintain clear communication with leadership on project progress and challenges. Contribute to business development initiatives and participate in professional growth activities. Actively support team efforts and organizational initiatives. Skills and Competencies Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. and cross-border personal tax compliance, including: Form 1040 series (1040/1040NR). International information returns (e.g., FinCEN 114, 3520/3520A, 5471, 8621, 8858, 8865, and 8938). Familiarity with U.S. corporate tax return preparation is an asset. Hands-on experience with U.S. Estate Tax Returns (Form 706) and Gift Tax Returns (Form 709). Skilled in IRS representation and tax resolution. Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Masters in Taxation. Professional designation (Canadian CPA or U.S. CPA). At least 5 years of experience in U.S. and cross-border tax compliance and planning. Proficiency in tools such as TaxPrep, CCH Axcess, BNA Tax Research, CaseWare, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail. Effective both independently and within collaborative team environments.
