Whitecourt and Edmonton, Canada | Posted on 01/07/2025 We are currently seeking Wildlife Biologists to join our team based out of our Edmonton and Whitecourt office. This is a full-time permanent position that is focused on inventory, assessments and ecological restorations. Project work includes forest inventory, ecological site assessments, wildlife inventories, and roadway/stream crossing assessments and restorations. Project work is remote, team based, safety driven and is completed for the energy and forest sectors throughout the province. About Us Woodlands North Inc. Position Responsibilities This position is accountable for safe and efficient project work Manage project deliverables and working relationships with Woodlands peers, management and clients Initiate, develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives and best practices Assist the Operations Manager with the scheduling and management of projects Position Requirements and Qualifications Experience in wildlife sweeps, wetland assessments, watercourse crossing assessments, fish identification, fishery habitat classification, plant identification, soil classification, ecological restorations, field data collection and reporting Experience in remote field work and working around big yellow equipment will be considered an asset University Degree or technical diploma is required in Environmental, Earth Science, Forestry, Biology or Engineering Professional registration or eligibility in one of Albertas Professional Regulatory Organizations Minimum experience of 2 years Strong analytical and reporting skills Ability to maintain a valid class 5 drivers license with a clean abstract Ability to demonstrate a safety and customer service focus Apply Now Salary is competitive and based on level of experience and education.
