Turner Construction's Self Perform Operation (SPO) team enhances the companys ability to self-perform key project tasks, providing greater control over quality, schedule, safety, and cost. The team manages work such as floor flatness, laser scanning, hardware installations, and more. Turner is seeking a passionate Superintendent to join the SPO team. Responsibilities Plan, forecast, lead, direct, and coordinate the work of SPO staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure execution aligns with the contracted scope while maintaining safety, schedule sequence, quality standards, and production planning. Supervise trade labor within your area of responsibility and oversee the work of assigned trades to promote coordinated project operations. Sequence work to meet project schedule and productivity; communicate with project superintendents to incorporate SPO activities, durations, and flow into the project schedule. Establish production requirements with Foreman and measure results weekly; plan, communicate, and implement performance of work related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and staffing levels. Resolve local area problems related to procedures, design clarifications, labor availability, and equipment scheduling. Develop and implement the SPO safety plan in compliance with Turner standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations. Investigate, communicate, and resolve field issues with owners and architects/engineers; participate in constructability reviews. Manage monthly estimates of work completed, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications; ensure procurement aligns with approved contract documents. Assist in bidding work to review productivity and approach for executing the work. Utilize lean construction methods such as the Last Planner System (LPS). Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Bachelors Degree from an accredited program and 4 years of related Superintendent experience, training, or on-the-job related experience Construction industry experience Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, general contract understanding, general conditions, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications Knowledge of lean principles Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule Proficiency in MS Office and EH&S applications Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal relationship-building skills Compensation and Benefits The annual base salary range for this position may be CA$100,000 to CA$130,000, depending on experience and fit.
