The Manager will work with its assigned clients to strategically develop a comprehensive grants funding plan, prepare all applications on a timely basis, and ensure all client deliverables are met at the highest level of customer service. The position demands attention to detail, strategic planning abilities, and the ability to multi-task in constantly changing environments. Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryans Key Results People: Create a positive team member experience. Along with the practice Principal and the Director, Grants, meet and develop relationships with all key grants ministries, departments, and institutions on an ongoing basis. Client: Assist the Principal and the business development team in sales meetings if required. Travel to client locations to identify eligible grants and develop a funding plan with a timeline of grant applications over the next 2-3 years. Research grant programs for client eligibility and develop project work plans and schedules for associated deliverables. Prepare grant proposals for client review and approval. Respond to client inquiries and requests from grant authorities. Ensure timely compliance and submissions once grants are approved to recover client expenditures. Value: Develop complete and accurate grant applications on time. Prepare financial models and costing calculations for grant applications. Review all grant applications for accuracy and completeness. Contribute to maintaining the firms grants knowledge base. Make presentations on available grants at Ryans training sessions, internal meetings, and industry events. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Bachelors or Masters degree in Business/Administration, Accounting, or Finance, or equivalent work experience. Knowledge and experience in business planning and business plan writing are required. Prior experience in grants is an asset. Marketing and broad business experience are also assets. Occasional long periods of sitting while working at a computer. Regular interaction with employees and clients in person, via email, and telephone. Independent travel requirement: 10 to 30%.
