We are currently recruiting a Legal Assistant, Float for our Toronto office. The successful candidate will provide administrative and practice management support across various practice areas. Strong communication, technical skills, initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are essential. Client service, organizational, and practice management skills are also required. Major Responsibilities and Duties Manage the LPs inbox and calendar, monitor emails, organize meetings, and prepare documentation. Serve as a point of contact for clients and internal/external stakeholders, providing assistance and information as needed. Administer client accounts, including billing, follow-ups, prebills, and addressing client inquiries. Coordinate logistics for client meetings, travel, and hospitality arrangements. Support client development activities, maintain LP bios, and update client relationship databases. Manage new file setup, including client intake, workspace management, and document system organization. Coordinate document workflows, including drafting, formatting, and distribution of documents and correspondence. Research, prepare for, and follow up on audit inquiries. Position Requirements Education and Experience The ideal candidate will have a Community College Certificate in a Legal Secretarial Assistant program or equivalent, strong MS Office skills, and 3-5 years of legal assistant experience. A positive attitude, professionalism, and teamwork are essential. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is acceptable. We currently operate under a hybrid work model, primarily in-office with flexibility for remote work up to 2 days per week.
