Overview Our client, a leading manufacturing company in Brantford, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their finance team. The successful candidate will lead the implementation of a new payroll software system and oversee accurate and timely payroll processing. This role requires strong technical knowledge of ADP Workforce Now , attention to detail, and the ability to support related accounting functions. Key Responsibilities Lead the payroll software implementation project , ensuring a smooth transition, accurate data migration, and process efficiency. Process payroll accurately and on schedule, maintaining up-to-date employee records. Prepare and distribute payroll-related reports as requested by management. Maintain and update bonus eligibility worksheets. Reconcile RRSP and garnishment remittances to ensure compliance and accuracy. Process Records of Employment (ROEs) in accordance with employment standards. Manage year-end payroll activities , including GL reconciliation, issuing T4s, and other statutory filings. Provide monthly overtime and hours-worked analysis to support operational reporting. Act as a backup for Accounts Receivable (AR) functions when required. Support audit requests and participate in other accounting or HR-related projects as assigned. Qualifications Completion of a college or university program in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. 3 + years of experience with ADP Workforce Now is required. If you do not have this, you will not be considered Experience in a manufacturing environment PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation or working toward Proven experience with full-cycle payroll processing and reporting. Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance (federal and provincial). High attention to detail and accuracy in all work. This position requires you to be on site 5 days a week (NO HYBRID) Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
