Then, join our team as a Community Outreach Ambassador ! At Volunteer MBC, one of our primary goals is to help connect people who want to volunteer with community service organizations that are looking for volunteers. This role is vital in promoting volunteerism in Peel. Description As a Community Outreach Ambassador, you will represent Volunteer MBC at various events in the community. You will participate in events such as visiting high schools, community centres, and community partner organizations. These community event opportunities will be in person and occasionally virtual. Virtual events will take place using Microsoft Teams. Our Community Outreach Ambassadors inspire people to become engaged and help them understand Volunteer MBC's vision and mission. Be a voice for volunteerism in our communities through your presence at community events and public venues. Respond to community outreach requests made to Volunteer MBC, or participate in outreaches initiated by us. Provide direct support for displays at specific locations throughout Peel Region (Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon). Opportunity to present an overview of Volunteer MBC and the importance of volunteering to various groups (youth, older adults, newcomers, etc.). Shifts are available Anytime. This volunteer role requires a minimum commitment of 6 months. The volunteer must have a flexible schedule to attend off-site events and assist with display development/preparation during office hours. Most requests are during the weekday with occasional evenings and weekends. Some events are virtual as well. Availability: 1-3 hours approx. Training Orientation; Scheduled training; Training about setting up displays, distributing promotional material, and engaging the public will be provided.
