We are currently looking for a Team Lead - Health & Wellness to join our team of committed professionals. This Full-Time position within the Association is housed at the YMCA of Northeastern Ontarios Durham location in Sudbury. Under the leadership of the Supervisor of Health & Wellness, the Team Lead Fitness is responsible for coordinating the planning and development of programs and services according to the YMCA policies, procedures and standards ensuring participant satisfaction. *Revised and reposted with a new salary range earlier applicants need not reapply. START DATE: ASAP LOCATION: Sudbury, ON RATE OF PAY: $21.63 to $23.08 per hour / $33,742.80 to $36,004.80 per year Major Responsibilities Deliver high-quality programs by instructing group fitness classes, conducting Smart Start appointments, and providing personal training Lead fitness classes or arrange for coverage as needed Contribute to the development of seasonal group fitness programming Design and implement promotional initiatives to enhance program participation Assist with the recruitment and selection of staff and volunteers Support and mentor staff and volunteers to foster a positive work environment Participate actively in the Duty Manager rotation Uphold YMCA Standards of Excellence in all daily responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned by the Association Qualifications College diploma or University degree in Physical Fitness Management, Recreation Management, Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Physical Education or related field Current Standard First Aid and CPR C YMCA Fitness Certification(s) or equivalent Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a similar role, including leadership experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Self-motivated and a strong team player Excellent organizational and time management skills Bilingualism in both official languages an asset Current and satisfactory Police Record with Vulnerable Sector Check What We Offer Free Personal Membership and Family Membership Discounts for day camps and recreational programs, summer camp and licensed child care for toddlers up to school-age Paid paid sick / personal days Employee and Family Assistan ce Program that includes short-term mental health supports such as counselling and online courses, and lifestyle coaching which includes legal and financial counselling Team bonding and employee recognition events Opportunity to explore a wide range of jobs and functions Flexible hours and scheduling, and hybrid work options, depending on role.
