Overview Plant Manager role at IKO North America . IKO Industries Ltd. is a market leader in the manufacturing of roofing and building materials. The Plant Manager is a hands-on transformational leader who drives technology and cultural change to improve performance. This role directs and coordinates all manufacturing activities at the facility to meet and exceed safety, environmental compliance, employee relations, customer service, product quality, cost and productivity goals. The plant currently has approximately 110+ employees. Responsibilities Direct and coordinate all manufacturing activities at the facility to achieve safety, environmental, quality, cost, and productivity targets. Lead process safety management and foster a culture where accidents are preventable; oversee maintenance management systems and proactive maintenance practices. Demonstrate highly developed leadership, change management, interpersonal, communication, and people management skills to drive plant performance. Develop and coach managers and supervisors in a high-performing environment; initiate critical conversations and provide timely feedback. Foster and maintain a positive labor relations environment, including in a union environment. Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, service and productivity; manage supply chain, production planning, scheduling, engineering, maintenance, management accounting, and project management activities. Develop and implement operational criteria to measure achievement of plant objectives and efficiencies; deliver and sustain results with systematic approaches. Plan and organize to meet deadlines, work independently, and maintain strong organizational skills. Qualifications Bachelor of Engineering (preference Mechanical) with a minimum of 10 years plant manager experience or equivalent. Strong interpersonal and leadership characteristics; ability to work with employees, support resources, sales, suppliers, customers and the local community. Proficient in Microsoft Office; Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma expertise is an asset. Experience in planning, scheduling, manufacturing, maintenance, and continuous improvement; capable of developing strategies and contingency plans and monitoring progress. Ability to develop and coach managers and supervisors in a high-performing environment; track record of meeting deadlines and maintaining focus on goals.
