The Finance & Accounting department has a full-time position for Tax Analyst - US. This role is hybrid in-office with 20% flexibility to work from home. Reporting to the General Manager, Tax, this position is responsible for tax compliance and tax accounting for the US operations within the organization. The ideal candidate will become a key member of the Companys tax department, with opportunities to learn and apply US tax expertise within a growing, geographically dispersed company. Responsibilities Work with multiple finance functions to collect data needed to prepare and maintain income tax working papers and related analyses for U.S. federal and state income tax returns and forms. Prepare U.S. income tax extensions and instalment calculations; coordinate payments to relevant tax authorities. Assist with financial statement processes and the related deferred income tax provision, including calculating the deferred income tax provision for US business units. Assist in US income tax audit defense, including preparation of responses to federal and state tax audits. Assist in the management and implementation of Black Diamond Groups transfer pricing policies, including drafting related contemporaneous documentation. Support M&A planning and tax due diligence procedures to the extent the US jurisdiction is involved, including financing and structuring considerations. Prepare monthly account reconciliations for US income tax accounts. Correspond with various U.S. tax authorities and respond to tax notices. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency in tax processes. Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the General Manager, Tax, including ad-hoc research and analytics for US operations and drafting internal memos supporting tax positions. Help manage the tax function inbox and related requests; liaise with third-party tax advisors as needed. Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders including advisors, auditors, and tax associations. Qualifications Over 7 years of relevant tax-related experience. Experience with SAP Business One, Oracle NetSuite and/or TaxPrep is an asset. Strong computer and data analysis skills, including intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, charts, formulas). High attention to detail and a strong commitment to meeting deadlines. Strong analytical skills and initiative to solve problems. Ability to work independently while supporting the broader finance and accounting team. Works well under pressure with multiple concurrent deadlines. Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of professional interaction with operations and external partners.
