Position Profile We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Team Lead (S) to join our team in Calgary, AB. We are looking for experienced Warehouse Leaders on the following shifts: Days (Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM) Afternoon (Monday to Friday 3:00 to 11:30 PM) Duties & Responsibilities Follow programs implemented to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the facility. Oversee all warehouse services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling; returned/damaged goods, maintenance, and administrative activities. Complete multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Coordinate all receiving material flow/docks. Coordinate all outbound material flow and customer order priorities. Comply with all Health/Safety/Security programs to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment, and property. Strive for continuous improvements in all facets of warehouse operations. Availability to work periodic overtime, on call, and a variety of shifts in order to meet the requirements of the operation. Ensure adequate training of staff. Train new hires as needed. Assist team by receiving, picking, packing, shipping, returns, value-added processing, and sub-assembly to ensure deadlines are met. Delegate tasks to warehouse employees and keep teams up to date with daily operational priorities. Act as a liaison between Management and front-line employees. Complete multiple leadership and direct labor tasks with minimal supervision. Standard duties and responsibilities of a Warehouseperson including operating various MHE as required. Perform other duties as necessary. Education & Experience Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, and/or extensive experience in supply chain would be an asset. 2 to 5 years' experience working in a Warehouse/Distribution Centre. Direct knowledge of WHMIS and other safety systems. APICS CPIM, CSCP, CLTD preferred or equivalent industry experience. Lean Six Sigma training, continuous improvement experience preferred. Strong knowledge of IFS/MRP systems, as well as Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience in leading teams will be considered an asset. Direct experience with distribution centre processes required (receiving, picking, packing, shipping, returns, value-added processing, and sub-assembly). Strong customer orientation and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to delegate tasks and prioritize work. Certification operating materials handling equipment (MHE) is considered an asset (i.e. counterbalance, reach truck, order pickers). Excellent understanding of warehouse operations and cost structures. Knowledge of and compliance with health and safety standards. Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management.
