About The Opportunity Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, the Radiological Technologist is responsible for delivering patient-centered care while operating radiological/accessory equipment with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. The Radiological Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic or therapeutic procedures requiring ionizing radiation, applies the ALARA principle, and remains responsive to and responsible for each patient in their care. The Radiological Technologist is responsible for effective communication in a multidisciplinary environment and fosters a culture of safety in the workplace. About You Travel to other sites may be required. We would love to hear from you if you have the following: Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure Previous experience is an asset Qualification to work in more than one Diagnostic Imaging modality is an asset Basic Life Support Certification Ability to use time effectively by organizing and prioritizing duties, while working independently and under minimal supervision Possess the physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position Demonstrates initiative, organizational and prioritizing skills; ability to work collaboratively within inter-professional teams Comprehension of the technical language to review and use manuals and participate in relevant discussions Competencies in other languages are an asset; French preferred Please ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.
