Overview Operated Joint Venture Accountant Summer Student. This is a summer student position based out of Calgary, full time from May - August 2026. You will work with the Operated Joint Venture team supporting the completion of entries for financial cycles and gain exposure to Operated Joint Venture Accounting as well as Accounts Payable, within an oil and gas producer context. Responsibilities Oversee and act as liaison for assigned partners billings and accounts receivables Communicate with partner contacts regarding payments, as well as resolving disputes Make correcting journal entries Utilize the AR Subledger, CS Explorer, and other applications to prioritize and manage partner disputes Collaborate with Land, Joint Ventures, Operations, Master Data, Production Accounting, and Non-Op Accounting to coordinate dispute resolution and correcting entries Assist the Accounts Payable Department with various initiatives Ad hoc Special Projects Qualifications You will have completed your 2nd or 3rd year in a Business Degree program (preferably with an accounting or finance major) and will be returning to school in Fall 2026 Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications Strong attention to detail and accuracy Demonstrated desire to learn and develop their skills Enthusiastic and motivated Prior experience in oil and gas is an asset Benefits Great Team Environment We do what is right for our environment, community and people We believe in equal employment opportunities and strive for a diverse workplace We celebrate and recognize our people Sustainability TAQA aims to be a low carbon power and water champion TAQA North is committed to being a safe and environmentally responsible producer TAQA North uses Acid Gas Injection (AGI) at the Crossfield plant to reduce greenhouse gas emissions Employment details Seniority level: Internship Employment type: Internship Job function: Accounting/Auditing and Finance Industries: Utilities #J-18808-Ljbffr
