We are looking for a qualified Senior Hull Technologist for our Dartmouth, NS, Ottawa, ON or Victoria, BC office! Qualifications RQPO1 Maintenance Manager Qualification from Canadian Navy from RCN with 20 years of experience TQ6A or TQ6B (or equivalent) of any of the following trades: Marine Engineer, Marine Electrical, Hull, or Combat Systems from Canadian Navy or Diploma in Engineering Technology Proficient with maintenance procedures and documentation Experience in technical writing and proficient with MS Office Must have attention to detail and strong organizational skills Must be able to meet project deadlines with minimal supervision Must be physically capable of moving about a ship, climbing ladders Experience working in a marine environment is considered an asset We encourage applicants to apply even if you do not have all of the above qualifications or experience requirements. Responsibilities Analyze engineering changes, naval ships/systems/equipment including structures, materials, welding, paint & preservation, shock & vibration, damage control systems, piping systems Conduct technical investigations and engineering studies Provide technical input to engineering specifications and drawings Review and update naval system and equipment technical documentation Provide guidance to clients and staff in the field of hull systems/naval architecture technology Write Technical Publications #J-18808-Ljbffr
