Job Description

Position Overview District Overview Eastern Canada District's projects include highways, bridges, mass transit, mine site development & open pit operations, hydroelectric powerhouses, wind-power plants, dams & industrial. We serve the construction and mining industries and operate in Eastern Canada. Location This position is located at our Oakville, ON office. Responsibilities Lead a team of District Support Specialists: This will include training, mentoring, performing quality control, and providing guidance with troubleshooting and problem-solving. Serve as a subject matter expert for time and payroll issues. This includes pre-payroll and post-payroll activities, off-cycles, pay additions, overtime rules, and general payroll and time inquiries. Monitor team workloads and assist and backup as necessary and support the team in responding to internal customer questions and concerns. Develop strong relationships with field personnel and provide excellent time and payroll support. Demonstrate a sense of urgency toward business-critical issues. Understand, communicate, and monitor internal control processes and procedures Perform other job-related tasks as needed or assigned: Flexibility to handle additional responsibilities as required. Qualifications Three (3) years of professional business experience in a similar role College Degree in business or related field preferred Bilingual (French / English) is an asset Excellent organization and time management skills: Ability to develop specific goals for the team and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish daily work and projects. Excellent customer service and collaboration skills: Ability to connect and build relationships with others inside and outside the organization and develop highly effective teams and alliances.
