The Role Working primarily in a remote environment, the Securities Paralegal/Compliance Administrator would be responsible for providing ongoing administrative support to the CCRL team including managing project initiatives related to regulatory requirements, drafting policies and documents, research, compiling and preparing reference materials, attending to firm and individual registrations via NRD and direct filings with securities commissions. The Securities Paralegal/Compliance Administrator will also act as a liaison between the CCRL team and client groups which would include planning meetings, coordination of CCRL and regulatory initiatives and maintenance of ongoing compliance/regulatory requirements with client groups. What do we want? A Paralegal with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the financial services industry (Compliance/Securities/Corporate areas). Strong knowledge of Canadian Securities Law. Demonstrated analytical and research skills. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Strong organizing, planning and prioritization skills, interpersonal and time management. Energetic, detail-oriented and strong commitment to quality, customer service and teamwork. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a hybrid office environment (combination of work from home and work at client locations). Experience with the National Registration Database (NRD) would be considered an asset. Experience with SEDAR+ would be considered an asset.
