Overview General Surgery Guelph General Hospital (GGH) is inviting applications for a General Surgeon to join our collegial and supportive surgical group. This is a full-time position starting January 2026. About the role The successful candidate will provide a full spectrum of general surgery services, including outpatient, inpatient, emergency, endoscopy, and operative care. Elective surgical practice and ACS participation Call coverage 1 in 8 with a dedicated ACS schedule model, ensuring protected time for acute surgical patients Resources available include: 37.5 hours of dedicated OR time per month Endoscopy time Ambulatory care clinic time This position also offers opportunities for teaching through McMaster Universitys Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine. Qualifications Certification in General Surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC). Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). Strong clinical and operative skills across the breadth of general surgery. Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
