The Opportunity McElhanney Ltd. has a new opportunity for a Junior Structural Engineer/Engineers-in-Training to enhance our growing team in Terrace, BC. What Youll Do Structural designing: Provide engineering support for projects including industrial, infrastructure, municipal, commercial, and residential. Technical writing: Prepare technical reports and assist in the preparation of approval, tender, and contract documents. Field inspections: Conduct field verifications to monitor quality and progress and perform structural condition assessments. Health and safety adherence: Prepare and follow site-specific health and safety plans. Project implementation support: Support other departments to develop a holistic approach to project execution. Managing resources and task completion: Collaborate with team members to meet schedules, budgets, and quality standards. What Youll Bring Degree in structural engineering or civil engineering from an accredited institution (accreditation preferred). Registration in good standing as an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) in British Columbia, or eligibility to be registered; experience or commitment to obtain accreditation encouraged. Direct supervision by a P.Eng. (BC) is provided. Technical skills: knowledge of structural engineering concepts, building codes, and best practices for technical writing. Exceptional communication and collaboration: strong communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities. Technological proficiency: ability to stay current with technology and apply industry tools to project work. Software expertise: proficiency in structural engineering software such as Risa, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and MS Office. Drivers License: Valid Class 5 drivers license. What Can We Offer You? The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $85,000 per annum. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required qualifications and experience.
