This includes identifying and qualifying new leads, cultivating existing accounts, and achieving sales targets. Partnering with internal experts to close complex technical sales. Participating in the hiring process for new team members. Managing team performance, including conducting performance appraisals and pay reviews, as well as overseeing any necessary terminations. Motivating the sales team, setting quotas, and allocating resources to meet revenue goals. Building and maintaining strong relationships with current and potential customers through various communication methods, including in-person meetings and digital interactions. Guiding qualified leads through the sales process, from initial engagement to presenting tailored solutions. Ensuring customer satisfaction and retention by providing support throughout their journey and generating sales reports. Collaborating with internal teams (sales, development, engineering) to align on customer requirements and specifications. Identifying opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, and contract renewals. Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, quotations, and contracts in our CRM system. Requirements We are seeking a highly experienced Pump Sales Manager for our team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of proven success in selling pumping products, either as a Sales Manager or a Sales Field Specialist, or have equivalent client-facing experience. We are looking for someone adept at presenting and selling mechanical solutions to a diverse range of stakeholders within industrial organizations, including executives, management, field personnel, and engineers. Furthermore, the successful candidate will have at least 6 to 7 years of experience in building a robust and impactful sales pipeline. This includes developing strong relationships with major Canadian distributors, identifying opportunities for service improvement, effectively selling and upselling our offerings, and consistently achieving sales targets while fostering client loyalty and retention. A strong technical understanding of several relevant products from a minimum of three of the following brands (or their competitors) is essential: ARO, PACO, GRUNDFOS, PEERLESS, SACEMI, JOHN CRANES, G&L GOULDS, and BARNES. Experience in the ongoing maintenance and service of customer accounts would be a significant asset.
