Our Ideal Candidate We are seeking two intermediate-level Environmental Monitors who excel in field-based roles with civil construction and earthworks experience. You will ensure environmental compliance across projects in Alberta and BC, helping deliver responsible infrastructure work. Your skills in monitoring, communication, and decisive action will support environmental integrity and client goals. A Day in the Life Monitor construction activities related to environmental protection, including implementing environmental protection plans Collaborate with construction teams to follow mitigation measures and permit requirements Implement and maintain erosion and sediment control (ESC) Collect water quality and soil samples Support pre-construction bird nest sweeps, fish, and amphibian salvage programs Maintain accurate field notes and contribute to technical reports Prepare daily and weekly summary reports Attend project and safety meetings Promote safety culture and adhere to safety protocols Liaise with clients, regulators, and contractors What Youll Bring to the Team 2+ years of relevant environmental monitoring experience in construction Strong technical documentation and communication skills Registration with a professional regulatory body is an asset Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Effective communication with clients, contractors, regulators, and team members Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Detail-oriented with good organizational and time-management skills Physically fit to work in all weather conditions Willing to work on a shift rotation Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to remote sites Whats in it for you?
