Working closely with fellow Finance team members and departmental stakeholders,. This role is responsible for supporting the Fuel accounting team with regards to invoice processing, Fuel inventory management, Journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, External & Internal audit requests, and team time off support. Responsibilities Manage large volumes of email and invoices Work with Internal and external business partners to resolve queries and discrepancies and ensure all significant dollar invoices are included in the month-end. Work in a multi-company account structure (WestJet, Encore, Cargo and Swoop) with multiple currencies (CAD, USD, Euros and GBP). Ability to work independently, ensuring deadlines are met. Investigate discrepancies including vendor statement reconciliations, purchase orders received but not invoiced, tax calculations, and foreign exchange calculations Assist with team on fuel invoice payment procedures, ensuring payments are timely Actively partner with various teams across the organization to assist with ad-hoc reporting, analysis, projects, and decision support as required Be an active member of the Finance team; willing to brainstorm issues and be flexible in completing any task Document processes relating to areas of responsibility. Ensure compliance with internal controls and C-Sox requirements Qualifications Post-secondary education and/or certificate in a related field (i.e., Accounting or Finance) Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of related experience High Level of Excel proficiency and a keen interest in learning new technology Excellent attention to detail, time management, with a strong desire for continuous improvement Candidates must be adaptable and flexible, can handle multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy, prioritize and meet deadlines in an environment of continuous change and high-volume activity Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality Ability to work within a team, self motivated, curiosity, and willingness to help out the team during times of increased ADHOC requests.
