You are responsible for planning and implementing program content and for the instruction, coaching or coordination of intermediate sport programs. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Completion of Grade 11. Educational background in Recreation or related field is an asset. Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience in sport specialty area. Experience in staff supervision and program coordination. CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENCES Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates AODA Customer Service/IASR Training Appropriate certification in the relevant recreation/sports program KNOWLEDGE City of Ottawa Policies and Procedures. Demonstrated awareness of Safety/Security of programmes COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to work in a team setting or independently Maintain a fun and safe environment Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, organizational and programming skills Flexibility Creative Reliable WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW Language Requirement:Various language requirements, locations may require English only, French only OR Bilingual competencies.
