We are currently seeking applications for Engineers in our Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering (TPTE) group, for our Alberta offices. These individuals will work independently on smaller projects, and as a team member on larger projects under the guidance of a Senior Engineer. Your Key Responsibilities Complete Transportation Impact Assessments for a variety of small and large projects Conduct and assist with traffic analysis using various software platforms (Synchro, SIDRA, VISSIM, etc.) Functional and conceptual planning/design for urban and rural roadways Planning and design of complete streets and active modes infrastructure Writing and editing technical reports and engineering studies Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams on major transportation projects Develop and maintain relationships with clients including municipal/provincial agencies and private developers Your Capabilities and Credentials Self-motivated individuals with the ability to work in a team environment Understanding and awareness of traffic analysis methodology and standards Excellent written/verbal communication and strong people skills Time-management skills; understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting and efficient use of time and resources. Ability to effectively discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agencies. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including word, excel, PowerPoint, etc. Experienced or familiar with traffic analysis software such as Synchro, SIDRA, HCM, VISSIM, etc. Education and Experience Bachelors degree or equivalent in Engineering Registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer Minimum of three (3) years work experience in the field of transportation engineering Experience in the Alberta market is an asset Stantec is a global leader in sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting.
