Overview Production (Area) Leader for the Osb manufacturing site in Englehart, Ontario. Reporting to a Production Superintendent, responsible for safety, environmental compliance, scheduling, communications, and continuous improvement of a production area. What You Will Do Ensure all team activities strictly adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations. Proactively identify and mitigate risks and hazards in the workplace. Maintain clear and effective communication with the Maintenance Supervisor and team members. Manage a team of hourly employees, providing leadership and direction. Schedule and oversee training to ensure the team is equipped with necessary skills. Prioritize work for the team, ensuring that critical tasks are identified and promptly addressed. Enter work orders and manage requisitions to maintain production efficiency. Monitor and manage costs associated with the assigned Production Area. Track and aim to reduce area downtime through effective management and planning. Champion continuous improvement initiatives and ensure they are completed on time. Qualifications What You Are (Basic Qualifications) Leadership experience within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in written and oral communication. Mechanical and electrical knowledge relevant to the production environment. What Will Put You Ahead Proficiency with MS Office Suites. Experience in OSB manufacturing or a similar industry is an asset. Understanding of accounting, budgeting, and purchasing systems. Who We Are At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
