Sharp Bus Lines Limited is now hiring school bus drivers in the Grimsby, Lincoln, St. Catharines, Thorold, Welland, Port Colborne, Niagara Falls, Vineland and surrounding areas ! Regular, part-time hours Ability to bring your children to work FREE in-house training & licence upgrading (to a B licence) 187 working days per year never work a weekend, evening or holiday again! Independent work environment with competitive wages Duties and Responsibilities Provide safe, reliable transportation to school aged children, to and from school daily Adhere to all policy and procedures set out by Sharp Bus Lines and their customers Pick up and drop off students at assigned stop locations while following provided schedule Able to confidently communicate with dispatch via CB radio Abide to the disciplinary guidelines and follow protocol set out by the consortium Wear clean attire and maintain excellent personal grooming while on duty Reflect company values in the way you conduct yourself Operates vehicle with due respect for public safety, preventing damage to vehicle Maintain Hours of Service, following the Ministry of Transportation guidelines Maintains Logbooks, following the Ministry of Transportation guidelines Maintains hours of work, following the Ministry of Transportation guidelines Operates vehicle based on laws set out in Highway Traffic Act. Operates vehicle using defensive driving techniques while being courteous Support a positive environment for riders, pedestrians, other motorists, and colleagues Working Conditions : Pull and support up to 50 lbs Sitting for up to 2 hours Climbing may be required to clean windshield, wipers or other simple mechanical assessments Repetitive motion may be required when operating vehicle Working in all types of weather conditions including severe cold and heat Terrain, may be uneven, snow or ice covered Loud environment, occasionally Requirements Obtain and maintain a class B Licence Meet all Ministry of Transportation standards Clean Drivers Abstract Maintain your medical report as per MTO guidelines Complete and submit Vulnerable Sector Search and Background Check Skills Required Skills Excellent driving skills General geographical knowledge of the region Maintain and foster professional relationships with student, parents or guardians and school representatives.
