Construction Compliance Site Coordinator Full Time Edmonton, Alberta, Canada | With Professional Experience YOUR PROJECT ASSIGNMENT TEICON ENGINEERING invites you to become part of a landmark clean energy project in Alberta, Canada. As part of a long-term partnership with a global chemical leader, we are supporting the construction of one of the worlds largest clean hydrogen and ethylene production facilities. This role offers you the chance to help shape a net-zero industrial site from the ground up and contribute to the decarbonization of heavy industry through advanced construction methods and smart execution planning. Project Location: Fort Saskatchewan, Canada Start Date: 01 September 2025 Contract Type: Fixed-term employment or freelance contract Duration: Until 31 March 2028, with possibility of extension Workload: 56 hours per week, 6 days per week YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure all contractors and subcontractors comply with prevailing wage and apprenticeship (PW&A) requirements on site. Coordinate onboarding sessions and PW&A training for relevant stakeholders at site level. Serve as the single point of contact for contractors and external consultants regarding PW&A topics. Review weekly reports submitted by contractors and monitor certified payroll and apprenticeship data via designated reporting tools. Identify compliance gaps and initiate corrective actions. Support site subcontracting and controlling teams in cost allocation, invoicing, and variation orders in line with the ITC program. Ensure readiness for audits and assist in documentation, reporting, and compliance reviews. Verify wage table assignments to trades, especially when not explicitly covered under Division 8 collective agreements. Track and reconcile reported hours against registered and invoiced hours per employee. Facilitate monthly coordination and reporting with third-party consultants and follow up on open findings. Ensure effective communication and awareness on site regarding PW&A regulatory requirements. YOUR PROFILE Recognized Canadian degree such as a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Bachelor of Engineering (Civil, Industrial, Mechanical), Bachelor of Technology in Project or Construction Management, or a Master of Engineering in Construction Management. Alternatively, a Bachelor of Commerce, BBA, or MBA with proven experience in construction finance and compliance. Over 8 years of experience in large-scale construction project execution, ideally in an industrial or process plant environment. Strong skills in administration, coordination, compliance, and data-driven reporting. Good understanding of finance, payroll processes, and tax-related documentation in a project environment. Confident and assertive in interactions with subcontractors and external partners. Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with experience in international project structures. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and willing to learn project-specific systems (e.g., GDMS, ProCorr, PW&A monitoring tools). Familiarity with or willingness to learn about Canadian labour laws and wage regulations relevant to site operations. We are committed to employment equity and value diversity.
