Location: Port Coquitlam, BC Full-Time | On-Site Start Date: January 2026 Hourly Wage: $24$33 (based on experience and academic year) Are you ready to kickstart your engineering career with real-world experience in design and manufacturing? Corwest Fabrications Ltd is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering Co-op Student to join our dynamic team for an 8 to 12-month term. This is your chance to gain hands-on exposure to ASME-certified projects, hands-on experience in the manufacturing environment with opportunities to contribute to drafting and design support and grow your professional skills in a supportive and fast-paced environment. What Youll Do Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of shop drawings, fabrication details, and as-built documentation. Support Engineering and Drafting department. Support Quality Control department. Gain exposure to shop fabrication. Support project documentation, data entry, and material traceability. Learn and apply safety procedures in a shop environment. What You Bring Enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical Co-op program (minimum 2nd year completed). Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of AutoCAD is a strong asset. Attention to detail and willingness to learn in a hands-on environment. Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal). High ethical and professional standards. Initiative, sound judgment, and a proactive mindset. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent time management and prioritization abilities. Collaborative and results-driven approach. Eligibility Be currently enrolled in a recognized Co-op program. Be returning to school after the work term.
