Go to root cause of problems and implement long-term solutions. Respond to breakdowns on plant equipment, facility, and building. Determine temporary vs. permanent solutions based on production time constraints. Maintain preventative maintenance programs and ensure regular checks and lubrication on all equipment. Maintain operation of boiler systems, heating, steam, and energy supply. Assist in minor electrical repairs and reset safely. Assist with installation of plant equipment and occasionally assist in equipment design. Know required fits for various services, including antifriction bearings, and perform such fits. Handle heavy equipment safely and have knowledge of foundation work. Assist in developing the plant occupational health and safety program.
