Job Description

Safety-Kleen is looking for a Refinery Manager to join our safety conscious team! The Refinery Manager is responsible for leadership of the operations of used oil re-refining process including associated tank farms and plant utilities functions. Main point of contact between shipping/receiving, maintenance and laboratory groups. Ensures health and safety (H&S), quality and environment and production goals are met. Manages operating expenditures to stay within budget. Builds high performing operations teams, mentoring, training and providing resources to support those teams. Assures that all company and site-specific processes and procedures are followed. Clean Harbors (NYSE: CLH) is North Americas leading provider of environmental and industrial services. Budget cost for re-refinery process chemicals, capital projects, supplies, utilities, etc. Manages the selection of hydro treating catalyst. Participates in shutdown planning activities, process troubleshooting, monitoring and analysis of process data. Key player in lines of communication between management and the operations group staff. Responsible for hiring, training, coaching, evaluation and discipline of staff. Ensures process operation within safe operating limits, compliance with all regulatory, permit and corporate EH&S requirements and ISO quality standards. Oversee and participate in ongoing preparation, revision and approval of standard operating procedures (SOP's) for refinery. Qualifications Bachelors degree in chemical engineering/mechanical engineering is required. 5-7 years of relevant experience. Valid Drivers License required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good organizational skills. P&L experience. Experience in refining environment. Operational experience. Able to maintain accuracy of system and report information. Excellent problem-solving abilities. Time management skills. Prior leadership/management experience. Financial analysis experience.
