Overview Join to apply for the Technical Sales Representative role at Applied Industrial Technologies - Canada . Applied is a leading value-added distributor of bearings, power transmission products, engineered fluid power components and systems, and other industrial supplies, serving MRO and OEM customers with over 50 facilities across Canada and 650 associates. The company provides engineering, design and systems integration for industrial, fluid power, and flow control applications, as well as customized mechanical, fabricated rubber, fluid power, and flow control shop services. Location: Quesnel, BC. This is a relationship-based sales role reporting to the General Manager, focused on growing the territory by bringing in new business and developing repeat relationships within existing accounts. You will engage with engineers, maintenance, purchasing, and other stakeholders to determine needs through a consultative approach to help clients achieve superior performance. Responsibilities Responsible for new business development as well as maintaining existing territory Prospect for new customers, set appointments and demonstrate product benefits Develop strategic relationships with customers to identify and leverage business goals, growth strategies, and profit drivers; deliver the appropriate value proposition Collaborate with management to develop sales strategies and pursue new business prospects Respond to customer product inquiries Engage in direct sales activities Promote existing and new products Anticipate client direction and objectives Manage a robust sales territory Maintain cooperative and productive team relationships Attend training and sales meetings as required Meet or exceed sales targets Qualifications Preference will be given to individuals that show mechanical aptitude and have experience in industrial component/solution sales Sales and service oriented Professional demeanor Good organizational skills Ability to prospect for new clients Ability to utilize technology to source and find components and information Maintain customer relations and build new relationships Analytical and problem solving capability Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to build relationships with inside sales force Proven ability to work in a team environment Self-motivated and able to work independently Deliver on growth and profitability; meet or beat annual sales goals Enthusiasm and desire to contribute to a winning culture Compensation Core compensation will be comprised of a combination of base salary, commissions, vehicle program, benefits, RRSP match, etc. Base salary will be determined by years of relevant experience and technical competencies, but could be within the range of $55,000/year - $70,000/year or more.
