You as a Health, Safety & Environment Coordinator (Building Group) will: Be responsible for safety orientation, job site inspections, onsite first aid assessment/treatment and accident/injury reports Monitor employees and subcontractors on site to ensure compliance to safety procedures and escalate issues to resolution Proactively identify and prevent hazardous situations and take necessary measures to correct them Review of Subcontractors' Pre-Construction safety submittals Review and file Subcontractors' weekly safety submittals Organize and conduct training programs including but not limited to: WHMIS, Fall Protection, Personal Protection Equipment, CPR/First Aid Effectively compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual project health and safety statistics Create, maintain, and educate all site staff on maintaining a safety first culture Is this the right role for you? You have a minimum of 2 years' of safety experience on Institutional, Commercial and Residential Construction Projects You hold at minimum a valid OFA L3 certificate (or able to obtain an OFA L3) National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certificate is an asset Construction Safety Coordinator Gold Seal Certification or CRSP Designation would be considered an asset Experience in the Certificate of Recognition (COR) program would be considered an asset You have the ability to delegate and influence others to follow safety rules and regulations Bilingual (French and English) is required CNESST Certified is required EllisDon is proud to provide this unique career opportunity that provides continuous learning, opportunity for growth, and a competitive compensation package within an environment that is committed to inclusion and respects diversity.
