The Northern Health Region is the largest of Manitoba's five Regional Health Authorities, serving a population of 72,000 across 396,000 km, with major industries including mining, hydro-electric development, forestry, fishing, trapping, transportation, and tourism. Qualifications: Must be eligible for full licensure and in good standing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Manitoba. Candidates with certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada are preferred. Compensation: Generous remuneration with guaranteed income through alternative funding. Practice Location: This position is based at Thompson General Hospital in Thompson, known as the Hub of the North. Located 740 km north of Winnipeg, Thompson is the regional trade and service centre of Northern Manitoba, with approximately 15,000 residents.
